If you are concerned about EMF and protecting your noggin, you could go with the standard tin-foil hat. Sure, wearing it out of the house is sure to be a conversation starter… or not.
Radiation can be dangerous, but not if you take along an EMF shielding cap with you. They are crucial for the safety of your head. Needless to say, one of the most vulnerable parts of your body is your brain.
Although your skull provides some protection, it’s not enough to shield you from the massive amounts of EMF radiation you’re exposed to daily. Here’s where a decent EMF shielding hat comes into the picture – it’s specifically designed to reflect the high radiation.
A protective cap or beanie is a must-have for everyone, more so for newborns and youngsters, whose skulls are smaller and less equipped to shield themselves from EMF radiation.
How Does it Function?
It works by scattering EMF radiation passing through specific materials such as mylar, copper, aluminum, and silver. This lowers the electromagnetic field’s force before it reaches your body. Given the high cost of EMF protection hats and beanies, their quality and endurance should match.
Look for firms that have used a specific meter to evaluate their products. If you’ve come this far, you’re already aware of the hazards of EMF radiation and why it’s critical to shield your body from it.
This article will educate you on the best radiation protection caps & hats for 2021 now available on the market to safeguard your brain and head. So let’s take a look at our top picks for the best radiation protection caps and hats.
Considerations Before Buying EMF Protective Clothing
If you’ve decided to buy EMF protection gear, there are a few things to keep in mind before zeroing in on the purchase.
Attenuation
First look at the attenuation of the clothing item. Anything with a dB rating of 20 or above will protect you from 99 percent or more of a frequency spectrum. That being said, the first thing you should check is that the decibel level of your clothes is at least 20dB.
Frequency
Next, think about the frequency spectrum that the garment shields you from. Make sure it’s in the range you’re most likely to be exposed to.
If, for example, an item of clothing doesn’t protect against radio frequencies, but you’re using it to protect against WiFi and mobile phone radiation, it will be ineffective. So in this case, you’d need something capable of blocking higher frequencies.
Lifespan
Consider the item’s projected lifespan, as well as the amount of wear and tear. The materials are used to block EMF radiation, therefore not all items of EMF protective clothing withstand much washing. If your budget permits, you should get multiples of this item.
Cost
The cost of the item is the last, yet an important concern. EMF clothing is pricey, especially for a product that gets good ratings and fulfills the manufacturer’s claims. If you don’t have the funds right now, you’ll still be able to benefit from EMF protective fabrics.
EMF protection fabrics manufactured from comparable materials are also available from a variety of producers. Moreover, you can make your protective fabric shirt, cap, or another article of clothing.

Our Best Radiation Protection Caps & Hats Reviews and Comparisons
1. Lambs Faraday Beanie
Product Highlights
The Faraday Beanie by Lambs is an EMF-proof ski cap/urban headgear for WiFi and radiofrequency protection of your head. The material is made from a proprietary silver fabric (Wavestopper) that blocks 99% of EMF and has been verified by an FDA-certified laboratory.
The beanie is double lined with an outer shell of stain-resistant acrylic and an inner lining of a cotton/polyester (44%/17%) blend that includes 39% silver thread.
Features
- Comfortable fit (one size fits all)
- UV-resistant fabric
- Nearly 40% silver thread fabric
- Blocks 99% of EMF
- Can machine launder
What We Like About Lambs Faraday Beanie
The Lambs beanie is rated at block EMF from cellular towers (4G, 5G), Bluetooth, and router WiFi signals up to 99% at peak frequencies. Its effectiveness has been laboratory-tested, so it’s not just a hollow claim by the manufacturer.
The beanie has also been independently tested by users and they all report that the hat does block EMF as advertised.
Also, Lambs has a community-active corporate policy that we like. With each purchase of a Lambs product, the company will donate five meals to the program Feeding America to help feed people who are in financial distress from the economic downturn or are the victims of natural disasters.
What We Don’t Like About Lambs Faraday Beanie
It only comes in grey, which is fashion-neutral, but other color options would be an improvement.
PROS
- Soft and comfortable
- Very effective at blocking EMF (99%)
- Machine washable fabric
- Urban fashion cool
CONS
- Only comes in grey
2. Lambs Faraday Cap
Product Highlights
If your style really does not include beanies, the Faraday cap by Lambs is a cool-looking piece of headgear that will fit with any fashion choice. It’s a tastefully-styled ball cap (otherwise known as a Dad cap or 6-panel cap) in dark charcoal with a gently curved bill.
The rear of the cap has an adjustable plastic strap across the closure and the top of the hat is crowned with a button. There are eyelets in the center top third of each panel.
The fabric from which the Faraday cap is made is a cotton outer shell with a liner made from Lamb’s Wavestopper fabric. The effectiveness of the Faraday cap is identical to the beanie reviewed above except for the rear closure area, which is partially open.
Features
- UV-resistant outer shell
- Wavestopper liner
- Curved bill (classic baseball cap)
- Adjustable fit
What We Like About Lambs Faraday Cap
The Faraday cap is a good-looking bit of headgear and every bit as effective as the Lambs Faraday beanie with respect to EMF protection. The dark charcoal ball cap also has plenty of cool points and will fit in with any urban or country fashions.
The manufacturer states that the cap is machine washable, however, be advised that the bill material will be ruined if you throw it in a standard washing machine. We recommend you purchase a bill-saver (a plastic cage that snaps over the cap) and that you wash it in your dishwasher, top rack, no heated drying for best results.
As with the beanie above, Lambs will make donations to Feeding America with the purchase of this cap.
What We Don’t Like About Lambs Faraday Cap
There really is not anything you can say about the cap that we did not like. As with the beanie, the cap only comes in dark charcoal.
Other color options would be a great improvement to the product line, but perhaps those will come later.
PROS
- One size fits all
- Attractive color (dark charcoal)
- EMF effective (99% block)
- Adjustable fit
CONS
- Only comes in dark charcoal color/li>
3. LVFEIER EMF Beanie
Product Highlights
The EMF Beanie by LVFeier is the trade name of EMF products produced by Shiyan DHKQ Manufacture and Trading in Hebei, China. Their EMF beanie is made of grey dirt- and stain-resistant spandex (75%) with interwoven silver thread (25%).
LVFeier claims that the beanie will block 99% of 1.5 GHz signals and is also effective in dampening signals from radio frequencies in the 10 MHz to 3 GHz range. The beanies come in three adult sizes: small (<21 inches), medium (23-26 inches), and large (>27 inches).
Stitched across the headband are the words “lvfeier” in blue, white, and red. When we first reviewed this cap and considering the name, we thought perhaps the manufacturer was French (ergo bleu, blanc, et rouge).
Features
- Stretchy and comfortable spandex
- Blocks EMF (99% — manufacturer reported)
- Comes in three sizes (S, M, L)
- Colorful logo stitched in the headband
What We Like About LVFEIER EMF Beanie
Users of the EMF Beanie who typically suffer from RF exposure and experience headaches, cranial pressure, and ear problems report notable improvements in their health and wellbeing while wearing the hat. Some customers even report using the beanie as a sleeping cap to not only protect their brains while asleep but also to keep their heads warm.
What We Don’t Like About LVFEIER EMF Beanie
The beanie smells a bit funky upon unpackaging, reportedly an odd plastic-rubber smell. However, this is easily remedied by laundering the hat.
Some customers report fit issues, despite going by the fitting guide provided on the purchasing site. There are also reports from some users who experience EMF headaches of no change in their symptoms.
We specifically did not like the fact that LVFeier does not have a corporate website for customer service inquiries.
(This is very typical of Chinese companies. Finding where and who makes a product has more twists and turns than a detective novel).
The testing data for the fabric is not provided by the manufacturer. We can only go on their claims of effectiveness.
PROS
- Comes in three sizes
- Comfortable fit
- Cool stitched logo
- Machine washable
CONS
- Smells funny until you wash it
- Laboratory results not provided
4. RadiArmor EMF-Blocking Hat
Product Highlights
RadiArmor is a Seattle company founded in 2012 and specializes only in anti-EMF products. They have a broad set of product lines which include garments, phone and laptop shields, and fabrics.
The EMF-Blocking hat by RadiArmor is a stylish black baseball cap that looks great wherever you choose to wear it. The hat is rated to reduce EMF by 99% but real-world tests show an average 90% reduction in radiofrequency radiation in practical use.
The construction is a 100% cotton, 6-panel shell with no eyelets and a small stitched logo in front (white). The strap is cloth with a buckle clamp, there is a button top and the hat has a curved bill.
The inner shell is comprised of silver fabric, although the company does not provide details. It is claimed that the hat does not need to be washed due to the anti-bacterial nature of the silver threading.
Features
- Fits head sizes up to 22.25 inches
- Silver cloth liner blocks 90% EMF
- Black and stylish
- Stitched logo on hat center
What We Like About RadiArmor EMF-Blocking Hat
The EMF-Blocking hat is a nice-looking hat and comes off as a bit more refined than the cap reviewed above, mostly due to certain style elements that make the hat appear to be a higher quality build. Those stylistic changes are cloth backstrap, which is a nice touch, and the lack of eyelets.
No testing data was available. However, we did find several user reviews where tests with RF meters and EMF meters were conducted, verifying the claims of RadiArmor.
What We Don’t Like About RadiArmor EMF-Blocking Hat
The cap has a size limit that relegates it to people with small- to medium-sized heads only, that limit being 22.25 inches. Anyone with a head larger than a 7 1/8 hat size is out of luck for this hat.
Details on the cap are limited since RadiArmor does not allow access to its corporate website. We consistently received a blocking notice, even for cached copies of their corporate webpage stating that access is blocked in our part of the world (outside of the US), although RadiArmor products are sold here.
Despite being an attractive hat, we could find no data regarding the construction, details of the shielding fabric, or any testing data. This lack of corporate transparency did not sit well with us, however, RadiArmor does encourage user testing and sharing of results.
PROS
- Stylish
- Cloth backstrap
- 90% effective
- Comfortable
CONS
- Head size limitation (S and M only)
- No testing data disclosed
- No access to the corporate website (how do these guys do customer service?)
5. WOREMOR EMF Protection Bush Hat
Product Highlights
The EMF Protection Bush hat by WOREMOR is a brand of EMR Shielding Solutions out of Ontario, Canada. They have a very broad product line under WOREMOR, everything from garments to paint, all geared toward mitigating EMF.
This bush hat is certainly different from the other products reviewed here. Besides functioning as an EMF shielding hat, it’s great for the sun and comes in two colors: beige and navy.
WOREMOR claims that 99% of EMF is blocked by the hat (an average of 47 dB) and it is available in large and extra-large sizes (up to a 7 ½ hat size). The fabric is mainly cotton (89%), interwoven with copper, silver, and just a bit of Lycra for some wear resilience.
The sides of the hat have steel grommets for venting and there are snaps on the brim if you want to fold the brim up on one or both sides. There is also a nylon cord chin strap for windy conditions.
Jaunty! Not that there is a lot of EMF if you go walkabout outback, but maybe you need sun and EMF protection strolling along Miami Beach.
Features
- Broad brim with fold up snaps
- Available in beige or navy
- Chinstrap
- Blend of copper and silver
What We Like About WOREMOR EMF Protection Bush Hat
This is a pretty cool looking hat in many respects. Besides the overall safari vibe, this hat offers great sun and EMF protection. The fabric composition is Oeko certified in test classes 100 and 1000, which basically means that the fabric production meets certain industry standards for quality, thread count consistency, and durability.
What We Don’t Like About WOREMOR EMF Protection Bush Hat
The only negative thing we could think of is that the style may not be attractive for younger people. That’s about it.
PROS
- Effective EMF protection (99%)
- Great sun protection
- Adjustable brim
- Chinstrap
CONS
- Style may only appeal to older people
- Feature2
Final Verdict
For cool urban wear, we liked the Lambs Faraday Cap. Although the RadiArmor cap had nicer design elements, there was actual data for the Lambs cap.
Our second pick is the WOREMOR Bush Hat. It’s just cool and we can see how it would be great to wear in really hot conditions to stay cool.
