Protecting yourself or your child from EMF while sleeping or while sitting around the living room watching television, listening to music, or reading a book is a common-sense thing to do and as easy as using your own protective shielding. That shielding can be as comfortable as wrapping up in a nice blanket.

3. TitanRF Faraday Fabric
TitanRF Faraday Fabric by Mission Darkness is one of those that do anything you want, kind of products (make a cell phone case, blanket, tent, hat to protect from alien thought rays). This is not your typical shielding material, but is totally Mil-Spec and certified to MIL-STD 188-125 and IEEE 299-2006 standards.
The fabric is made from a copper-nickel alloy woven into something; we just don’t know (shh, it’s polyester but that’s a secret). Mission Darkness sells this fabric to the military and the Feds use this stuff, so yeah, it’s like that.
TitanRF attenuates RF signals in the 80-120 dB range from way down in the frequency spectrum all the way up to 40 GHz. For those of you not following the technical specs, that is enough shielding to protect sensitive electronics from the earth getting side-swiped by a coronal mass ejection (and blocks 100% of WiFi, cell phone, and Bluetooth signals).
You can buy TitanRF in four sizings: sheet (44 x 36-inch, featured here) or rolls (6 yards: 44 inches x 18 feet; 20 yards: 44 inches x 60 feet; 50 yards: 44 inches x 150 feet). TitanRF fabric can be worked with like any fabric, so you can cut it, sew it, tape it.
However, you should not wash this fabric. The manufacturer recommends cleaning the surface with a damp cloth only.
- 100% EMF shielding
- Can make anything
- Top secret
What We Like About TitanRF Faraday Fabric
For shielding, this is the real deal. You might have a tendency to conclude that this one is way out of your price range, but the sheet (44×36-inch) is the same size as many blankets on this list and priced comparably or lower.
As far as comfort goes, we could find no users who bought this to use as a blanket, but the fabric can definitely be sewn between two sheets of softer material to make one (just be sure you can take the material off to clean it by maybe using closures of some sort). Most users bought this fabric for commercial or industrial applications, so those folks also are the ones who demand performance.
What We Don’t Like About TitanRF Faraday Fabric
The cleaning issue with the TitanRF fabric is a problem for some applications (like baby blankets) unless some washable fabric enclosure is used. Some users tested the fabric and claimed that it does not work, but we cannot verify their testing conditions (remember, most people in the world are not scientists).
- Mil-Spec grade fabric
- Copper-nickel alloy
- Cut and sew it to make anything
- Blocks 100% EMF
- Some reports that it does not work
4. Armshield Anti-Radiation Baby Blanket
The Armshield Anti-Radiation baby blanket by Conscious Ideas is 30 x 35 inches and comes in 4 colors, beige, blue, grey, and pink. The blanket is made with a silver fabric covered with an organic cotton shell and blocks 99% of EMF.

Some reports by users that the blanket does not block EMF from laptops, but we cannot verify the testing methods.
- Blocks 99% of EMF
- Soft and warm
- Comes in 4 colors
- Some reports that laptop EMF is not blocked
5. Amradield Faraday Fabric
Amradield Faraday Fabric is another do anything with it kind of product. It is also a polyester fabric interwoven with copper-nickel alloy and comes in four offerings: small (43×39 inch), medium (43 x 78 inch), large (43 x 197 inch), and spool (43-inch x 50 meters; kind of weird that they mix British Imperial and metric measurements, but whatever).
The fabric blocks 99% of EMF with an attenuation of 85 dB in the frequency range of 30 MHz to 18 GHz. This product can be cut and sewn just like regular fabric to make anything you like including blankets (although you may want to cover it with softer fabric).
- Blocks 99% of EMF
- Copper-nickel alloy shielding
- Can be made into anything
- Available in 4 sizings

7. SHYZ EMF Protection Blanket
The EMF Protection Blanket by SHYZ is a nice size, 38 x 50 inches, and has some nice features such as a colorful washable cover. The blanket shielding material is covered with a shell depicting a watercolor of cherry tree branches with blossoms and leaves over a deep blue background.
The shielding materials are a type of silver fabric, but the details of the shielding are not disclosed by the manufacturer. The manufacturer also does not have a corporate website, which also means we had no access to their laboratory testing data.
The choice of cherry blossoms on the shell is highly suggestive of its being manufactured in China and Chinese companies are notorious for not having websites or customer service. Regardless, the blanket does look nice and the removable cover makes cleaning very easy, so let’s see what users have to say about the blanket.
- Blocks EMF (we do not know how much)
- Beautiful removable cover
- Available in silver fabric or metallic fabric
What We Like About SHYZ EMF Protection Blanket

The hypoallergenic bamboo grey fabric comprises the shell of the blanket and encloses two back-to-back layers of their proprietary shielding fabric. - Three sizes available
- Blocks 99% of EMF (laboratory-tested)
- Some users report the blanket does not block EMF
If you want a nice, ready-to-go anti-EMF blanket, we recommend the EMF Radiation Blanket by DefenderShield. The blankets come in several sizes and there is surely a size that will work for you.

DefenderShield also has a great reputation for quality products and for excellent customer service.
If you are into arts and crafts and want to get creative by making your own blanket, the TitanRF fabric is a great deal. First, it is used by the US military, military contractors, commercial users, aerospace industry, and other federal agencies for protecting electronic equipment.
That use is for protecting sensitive electronics from EMF interference. If it works for that, it can also work for you.
